Successful candidate will become a member of the NSCC Data Control/Media Library staff at the RMS Moorestown, NJ facility. Day-to-day tasking and responsibilities will include:
Creating and tracking various forms of classified (and unclassified) media to include (but not limited to) Computer Hard Drives, CD’s, DVD’s, Optical Disks, 9 track magnetic tapes, 4mm cassettes and LTO tapes. Retrieving, assigning and tracking media issued to various users. Marking classified hardware and printer output in accordance with established DoD requirements Tracking accountable material utilizing the Security Information Management System (SIMS) and Media Tracker inventory control program. Conducting periodic inventories of assigned media. Maintaining close interaction with Quality Assurance and Configuration Management personnel, system users and members of various work-center operating staffs. Generating, updating and maintaining various reports and metric data using established inventory control procedures/programs Preparing various forms of media for shipment, transfer or destruction Performing courier duties (on a required, on occasion basis) Performing other related tasks as assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications - Must have high computer proficiency with a working knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel, MSWord and Power Point. - Experience working in an office environment. - Candidate must be willing to work all shifts, including occasional weekends. - Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Desired skills - Possess a basic familiarity with UNIX operating systems - Knowledge and documented experience with DoD security procedures, closed area requirements and proficiency in handling classified media. - Knowledge and experience with database operations - Bachelor’s degree in related field - Candidate must exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to interact positively with the customers, co-workers and members of other related work-centers.
