In support of System Engineering, create and revise documentation using desktop publishing, word processing and database software. Maintain master documents and incorporate all approved changes in accordance with standard procedures. Update, revise and format classified and unclassified technical documentation and prepare for reviews and deliveries in accordance with appropriate standards, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout. Coordinate reviews with multiple stakeholders. Manage documentation utilizing multiple versions of Adobe FrameMaker and Acrobat Standard or Professional, MS Word and Excel, and IBM Rational DOORS in a UNIX and Windows environment. Fast and accurate typing skills, keen attention to detail, and experience formatting long documents is essential. Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines under tight time constraints is a must. Availability to work overtime as required.
Basic Qualifications Experience producing long documents using Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker or other desktop publishing software (i.e. InDesign, PageMaker).
Desired skills Fast and accurate typing skills, keen attention to detail, understanding of document formatting standards, proven ability to produce accurate and consistent documents under tight time constraints. Demonstrated customer service skills and willingness to accept the challenges of a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong work ethic and the ability to work overtime as required. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high standards of product quality. Experience on both UNIX and Windows platforms a plus. Experience with IBM Rational DOORS or other databases and with Adobe Acrobat Standard or Professional a plus. Intermediate or advanced proficiency with MS Word and Excel highly desirable.
