This position is for an experienced Material Quality Engineer working at the Oldsmar, FL facility. Will be responsible for all aspects of Space Materials, Electrical Components and Printed Wiring Boards (PWB’s) for Material Quality tasks across the entire program life-cycle. This includes the proposal, contract review, start-up, and development, transition to production, production and life time support. They will require a complete understanding of the various quality engineering tasks as they pertain to Electrical Components/PWB’s/Space Materials and the fabrication of PWB’s/Space Materials/Electrical Components, interfacing with inspection, customer support, suppliers/subcontractors and the flow down of requirements to suppliers, making sure all requirement are understood. Overall knowledge of military, Space and commercial standards, e.g. IPC Specs, Mil-Specs, LAC, ISO, CMMI, and AS9100 etc is required. Background in Gerber Data, PWB fabrication and component Failure Analysis is required. Will be using the various systems and tools to document and measure supplier performance, and participate in the control of approved PWB suppliers with RMS/EPI participation. Interface with Program Quality, Program Management, internal and external customers and suppliers. Responsible for the coding of requisitions, inspection and supplier surveys for PWB’s/Space Materials/Electrical Components. Knowledgeable of LM21 lean six sigma principles and methodology.

Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering - A Strong background in components and component Failure Analysis and PWB fabrication - Flowing down requirements to our suppliers/making sure they understand the requirements - Candidate will be knowledgeable of LM21 Lean & Six Sigma Principles and methodology - Strong written and verbal skills - Strong PC skills – Ability to perform 1st Article Inspections/1st Piece Inspections – Utilize Source Inspection/Acceptance – Provide In-Process Verifications for Our Suppliers – Supporting R&I Activities – Generate “SCAR’s”, Monitor Supplier “MRB’s” Actions – Provide Monthly Supplier Quality Performance Data To Program‘s – Provide Quarterly Feedback of our Supplier’s Performance; Including Detail Information - ISO/AS9100 - Must be able to acquire a secret clearance - Required travel to suppliers

Desired skills - Knowledge of P2P/SAP/Solumina - Experience conducted “PRR’s” and other risk assessments with our Suppliers - Green or Black Belt certification is desired
