This position is for an Information Assurance professional in the Rotary & Mission Systems Infrastructure Engineering organization, located in Orlando, FL.
The candidate selected will be responsible for the following: • Conducting vulnerability patching and assessments on production and fielded systems. • Security hardening and STIG compliance for Microsoft products and Linux systems • Collecting and analyzing logs from fielded systems. • Supporting with the definition and documentation of Cybersecurity policies and techniques, and procedures for conducting assessments and resolution. • Supporting the analysis of problems reports written against fielded systems, and the identification of solutions. • Collaborating cross functional groups, including but not limited to the following: software engineering, systems engineering, and field services.
**Must be willing to travel. 50-75% travel will be required, both domestically and internationally.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Experience with or working knowledge with Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and/or System Administration. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to research and analyze problems based on limited or ambiguous data. • Ability to work independently and with a team.
Desired skills • Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the DOD Information Assurance Certification & Accreditation Process (DIACAP) methods. • Familiarity with the Joint Special Access Implementation Guide (JSIG). • Familiarity with using Bash/Shell scripting to produce hardening scripts. • Effective analytical and critical thinking skills – proven problem solving and follow through in high-pressure situations. • Proven ability to prioritize and work multiple efforts simultaneously. • Security+ or the pursuit thereof is a plus.
