Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer Stf / Program Engineer / AGMS / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida
AGMS Manufacturing Team Lead. This position requires the candidate to provide multi-functional support to Production Operations in Troy, Ocala and Orlando. Candidate will manage/engage Production Operations sites, subcontractors and vendors to support Internal Operations Plan (IOP). Position requires the candidate to effectively engage corrective action boards (CAB), production status reviews (PSR), failure review boards (FRB), and affordability/improvement initiatives. Candidate success factors include improved yields, reduced tag count/aging, safety stock, and minimizing defects overall. This position requires frequent contact with various personnel on program and at the manufacturing sites (Orlando, Ocala, and Troy). Candidate will have the ability to proactively identify Risks and Opportunities, develop workarounds, develop recovery plans and present to program and operations management. Candidate will support proposal activities throughout all production and development activities. Candidate will be required to travel (1-2 weeks/month) to the various manufacturing sites and suppliers on an as-needed basis.
Basic Qualifications -Extensive technical knowledge and experience in the areas of manufacturing and testing.
- Over 7 years of Manufacturing experience
-Strong interpersonal and leadership/management skills with excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with program and functional leadership, and within a virtual team environment.
-Manufacturing environment experience. Leadership competencies.
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
Desired skills - Understanding and wide application of complex Electro-mechanical/Optical Final Assembly, Integration and Test methods.
Experience in representing Operations teams for a wide range of difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
Hands on experience in the design of manufacturing processes, Work Instructions, equipment installation, machining and material handling.
Experience in effective team leadership in planning and execution of Process Improvements and technical solutions.
Execution of Capital and First Unit Flow planning; Make-Buy analysis.
Experience in Manufacturing & Test Statement of Work and generation of Proposal Basis of Estimate input.
Team leadership in the root cause evaluation and identification of corrective action solutions.
Highly skilled at interpretation of Engineering specifications and the translation into effective Work Instructions.
Effective communicator and team-builder across multiple levels of management and functional teams.
Experience in effective collaboration with engineering to develop assembly design concepts and specification requirements.
Excellent Team facilitation skills and effective use of Lean Six-Sigma tools.
-Additionally, the candidate will interface with Program engineers to ensure producibliity and drive cost savings opportunities (affordability). CAM certification is a plus.
