Lockheed Martin Multi Function Manufacturing Planner Manager / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida
This requisition is to fill the position of Production Planning and Control Manager for the Machine Operations Center at Missiles and Fire Control Orlando.
The job scope includes the management and staffing of 16-20 direct report team members consisting of salaried exempt/non-exempt salaried and/or represented/non-represented hourly employees in the in management of MRP scheduling, and the manufacturing support functions associated with PP&C. This position requires the candidate to have experience working in a union contract environment.
Manages more than one area of manufacturing, such as machining, assembly, tool and die, offload activities , non-recurring and packaging. Demonstrated leadership experience including selection, training, performance assessment, work delegation, discipline actions and recognition of employees. Ability to assign projects to organizational unit by leading team members to meet critical schedules, resolve complex and time sensitive technical or operational issues. Coordinate the development of contract proposals and estimates. Develops and administers budget, schedule and performance standards. Responsible for creating, monitoring and reporting on all executive operations metrics. Prior experience in planning, preparation, issuance and control of production schedules and material requirements to ensure controlled flows of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
Work outside of the normal operating hours may be required
Candidate must possess Full Spectrum Leadership qualities and an ability to work in a fast paced, customer focused environment is essential with a focus on Lean Manufacturing Concepts and Continuous Improvement
Basic Qualifications Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of Management, industry peers, a represented workforce and internal and external customers. Demonstrated ability to manage subordinates in creating, monitoring and reporting on all executive operations metrics. Strong communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization Experience supporting Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS) Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets Previous leadership experience managing direct reports a must Excellent communication skills Demonstrate proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) Strong experience in a MRP based operating system. Ability to obtain a security clearance Related experience in material handling, control systems and ERP systems. Green Belt Trained/Certified Strategic thinker with a long-term focus.
Desired skills APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) Black Belt, Master’s Degree, Educational background in Operations Management or related discipline. Experience leading diverse multi-functional teams, Knowledge of industry wide best practices and processes for managing material flow throughout the entire production supply chain. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) extensive user experience and/or implementation. Integration of new systems and processes in to an operational organization. MRP systems utilizing latest technology and processes. Integration of new systems and processes in to an operational organization. Prior experience leading a team of supervisor, managers, and/or leads. Inventory Control and material handling knowledge Ability to understand engineering drawings and parts lists. Control Account Manager (CAM) certified.
