A member of the Procurement Quality Engineering Team responsible for assuring the quality and technical performance of deliverables from major subcontractors/suppliers for the F-35 Training Systems program.
This position requires 65% travel. Primary work location will be at RMS Training and Logistics Solutions facility at Orlando, FL with travel to customer sites at domestic and international locations to participate in supplier test events during Full Mission Simulator system installations.
Interface with Sourcing, Systems, Hardware development personnel, Suppliers, Integration/Test stakeholders, Program IPTs, Management and external Customers. Assist programs ensuring compliance to company processes, contractual requirements and technical specifications.
Prioritize placement of PR’s with critical build material and long lead times to facilitate procurement of electronic, mechanical assemblies, and equipment. Utilize P2P to track and manage PR’s and PO’s for F-35 FMS program requirements, and to document / track production, integration, installation and ATP yields and RTG burn-down actions. Responsibilities will include collaborating with engineering, test and supplier personnel to analyze/ correlate performance, reliability, failure trends of supplied product during production, integration, test, installation and site ATPs. Utilize SAP (COS/P2P), BI/BW, ClearQuest to correlate results and determine root causes relative to technical data flow-down, design, performance criteria and specifications, manufacturing limitations and process. Work with Operations, suppliers, IPT members to recommend / drive effective closed loop solutions to eliminate disruptions to internal operating plans. Coordinate efforts with suppliers, Operations and Engineering to expedite the timely closure of open QNotes, SCARs with effective C/As and P/As. Participate in interchanges between suppliers, engineers and other personnel involving technical/production/install deployment kick-offs, audits, product and process surveillance, testing, physical / functional configuration audits and product acceptance.
Perform surveillance coordination and serve as a liaison between suppliers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and Subcontract Management and Engineering personnel. Must be able to engage in Lean practices and drive process improvements.

Basic Qualifications Hardware, Electrical, and Manufacturing engineering knowledge. Quality metrics analysis Knowledgeable in SAP/ERP, P2P, BI/BW, Advanced in Microsoft Office Applications LM21 Green Belt Trained and Certified; CAM Trained and Certified Possess the ability expand beyond just Procurement Quality and effectively engage in Supplier Management and Improvement practices. Self-starter, Decision making skills, Clear Communication, Team Player, Excellent Customer and Supplier Interface, Presentation skills. Flexibility to travel 65% of the time. Knowledge of multi-circuit designs. Knowledge of Engineering Principles, Development and Acquisition Lifecycles. Quality/Reliability, Root Cause Analysis. Outstanding interpersonal and problem solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Possess good decision making acumen and be able to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels. Applicant must be able to manage various issues and take problem resolution to completion in an expeditious manner. Must be a go-getter, willing to proactively tackle whatever it takes and be a team player to solve procurement, supplier related development, modifications, production, test, quality, CM and installation issues.
