Lockheed Martin Project Engineer Sr Stf in Orlando, Florida
Selected candidate will serve as a Logistics Project Manager with a team of Equipment Managers (EM) for Joint Strike Fighter Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) and Pilot Flight Equipment (PFE) product lines. This role provides Logistics Project Management for the Non-Air Vehicle Product Repairs and Supply Support (NAVPRSS) activity for the Training and Logistics Systems scope of work on the F-35 Program. AME/PFE are used on all variants of the Joint Strike Fighter (F-35A/F-35B/F-35C), for both ashore and afloat operating environments. The right candidate will have experience in aviation product lines as well as relevant sustainment experience and processes. The LPM works as part of the Support Equipment Field Support team to provide cradle-to-grave management of F-35 AME/PFE and duties include sustainment and problem resolution relative to their specific AME/PFE product line. Additional duties include: ensuring field support requirements, tools and ground support equipment for organizational level aircraft maintenance; evaluating support equipment designs and validating level of repair and required support resources—to include spares are appropriately provisioned; ensuring accurate and timely Bill of Materials (BOM) consistent with released manuals or engineering data; identifying scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks including calibration requirements for field systems/equipment; performing maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers; reviewing supplier operations and technical data adequacy; providing logistics input and criteria to assist engineering develop affordable, supportable and maintainable designs; monitoring and participating in technical change management for AME/PFE; leading sustainment proposal and special project efforts. The candidate will work with their respective product air vehicle design teams to develop/vet new AME/PFE requirements. The LPM will also support the F-35 GSE Sustaining Engineering team to resolve operational and technical issues affecting their product line. Experience with unit level (flight-line) military maintenance support systems is highly beneficial. Some U.S. and international travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications - Requires extensive background in aviation maintenance within the U.S. Navy/USMC, USAF or MoD UK. -Experience using or maintaining F-35 AME/PFE; - Working knowledge of JSF Global Sustainment structure & processes; - Demonstrated ability to brief small or large groups; - Proven written and verbal communication skills; - Able to travel as necessary to support position; - Must have working knowledge of Enterprise-Level Information Management systems; - Proficient in Microsoft Office Software; i.e. Excel, Access, Word, Power Point; - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Desired skills - Ability to work jointly with the customer and teammates to identify solutions that meet both Government’s and industry’s needs; - Background in unit (“O”) level aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, and support; - Experience with post aircraft & equipment delivery data Management; - conducted and participated in Trade Studies; - Experience in the Foreign Military Sales, NATO service experience, or have worked with a military operation in overseas country/countries; - Must be able to multitask; - Must be able to work effectively in stressful environment; - Ability to collaborate with and integrate multi-functional teams. Proficient in Microsoft tools to include Databases, spreadsheets, word processing and presentation applications
