Lockheed Martin Project Engineering Manager / Logistics and Sustainment Engineering Deputy / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida
This position is contingent upon a future contract award (expected in Q4 of 2017) supporting a Missiles & Fire Control program within the Engineering & Technology function, as well as Customer funding for this position.
Logistics and Sustainment Engineering (LSE) Deputy Leadership position. LSE Deputy providing senior-level technical and management expertise in project management, contract execution, strategic planning, and capture of follow-on business. Candidate is responsible for cost, schedule, technical performance, and personnel management. Coordination of all activities and requirements with Program Management and customers. Candidate must have supervision/leadership experience and proven execution experience in front end/program start-up of contract requirements. The candidate will be required to serve as the spokesperson for the LSE organization relating on significant matters relating to the program. LM Corporate policies & procedures, and background in major DoD military fire control or tactical missiles/weapon systems is required. Candidate will identify and implement supportability and affordability design strategies to increase support performance value to our customers, grow the business, and position the program for follow-on contracts. The candidate will handle performance reviews, hiring, disciplinary actions, and other personnel related activities. The candidate will work under long range goals and objectives. Assignments will often be self-initiated. The candidate will make decisions that that may affect the financial, employee, or public relations posture of the organization.
Basic Qualifications Must be a US Citizen with an Active Department of Defense Secret clearance with an investigation in the past 5 years. Demonstrated performance executing Supportability contract requirements. Experience working with USG customers. Have demonstrated excellent customer interface. Ability to react quickly under pressure, dealing with a broad customer and Lockheed Martin base. Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership attributes and high performance. Proven track record leading large teams. Experience working Large DoD Programs. Proven ability to drive customer value (Proven CPAR Performance). Budget management and supervision/leadership experience. Able to identify and implement cost effective sustainment strategies to increase support performance value to our customers, grow the business, and help position the program for follow-on contracts. Familiarity with Specialty Engineering (Reliability, Safety, Maintainability), Logistics, Configuration Management, Technical Data, and Training solutions in a pre and post-production environment. Ability to Interface with Engineering Teams to solve difficult Support Issues. Ability to Lead, Coach, Train, and Manage LSE Personnel. Knowledge of MFC Products / Processes related to sustainment operations Analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation. Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience developing and delivering presentations. Strong computer skills including the Microsoft suite of applications.
Desired skills Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Field. Experience working in a matrix organization; ability to work with cross functional teams. Knowledgeable of DoD technical data requirements with demonstrated successful performance indicated by in depth knowledge of Government Audit procedures.
