Lockheed Martin Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering Associate Manager / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida
Lockheed Martin is looking for an QA Engineering Associate Manager to be based in Orlando, FL. The position will perform as the quality lead for Micro Electronics Center. The position requires working flexible hours and travel to support suppliers across the United States and possibly some international suppliers/customers. Responsibilities include: Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer. Supports Supplier IPT’s and various production sites with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap and non-conformance aging. Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex. Attends and leads program corrective action meetings, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and insures responsible parties meet commitments. Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence. Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100. Evaluate the design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality. Interfaces with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues. Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement. Lead a small team composed of both onsite Quality and offsite SQFEs to ensure compliance with both contractual and company Quality requirements. Makes the final decision on acceptability of product. Develop talent to strengthen the organization
Technical Engineering degree, or equivalent experience, in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
Experience developing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products
Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instruction
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts that will enable development and review of QE processes, and related performance metrics
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data
Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques
Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
Experience in disposition of non-conforming products
Experience in establishing performance metrics for identifying process improvement
Knowledge of configuration and data management
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrated presentation skills
Ability to travel
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Experience with working with suppliers in a dynamic environment
Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and / or CQIA (Certified Quality Improvement Associate)
SAP and P2P application experience
Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM)
Experienced in Bid, Proposal and Estimating practices and development of Quality Assurance Basis of Estimates (BOE)
Strong understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Demonstrated Leadership, Customer Relationship Management skills
Experience working with Government customers
Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening, technical writing
Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
