Lockheed Martin Reliability Engineer / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

This position is contingent upon a future contract award (expected in Q4 of 2017) supporting a Missiles & Fire Control program within the Engineering & Technology function, as well as Customer funding for this position.

The selected candidate will support the Specialty Engineering branch in the execution of reliability and maintainability (R&M) tasks for the Infrared Search and Track (IRST) programs as well as utilizing data from logistics, testability and safety in support of R&M tasks.

The candidate will support and perform R&M allocations, predictions, failure modes effects and criticality analysis (FMECA), failure reporting and corrective action system (FRACAS), reliability growth modeling and monitoring, reliability-centered maintenance and maintenance task analysis. The applicant will interface with design engineering, logistics, support equipment, and training organizations to ensure R&M requirements are met.

The candidate will assist in development of maintenance engineering and integrated logistics strategies. Assist in development of Support Equipment recommendations to provide capability to maintain operational status and repair capabilities. Collect and provide support data for each level of repairable maintenance to include documentation and supporting drawings. Perform maintenance analysis to identify, justify, and report the requirements for maintenance and all related logistics resources. Support in establishing necessary interfaces and controls to ensure that equipment changes, which in any way affect previously furnished logistic support data, result in the update of data items. Interpreting and comprehending engineering drawings, NOR’s, schematics.

Basic Qualifications Reliability engineering experience with a general understanding of analyses, modeling concepts and tools Good written and oral communication skills Experience presenting findings to customers and management Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Strong problem solving skills Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Desired skills BSEE, BSEET, BSCE (or similar discipline). Candidate should be a self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks with little direction. FRACAS experience preferred. Knowledge of Windchill Quality Solutions (WQS), formerly known as Relex, is a plus. Maintainability and Testability / Built-In-Test (BIT) engineering experience. Active Secret security clearance.
