Lockheed Martin SECTR I&T Engineer / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

The candidate will support Flight Testing of the Seeker Cost Transformation (SECTR) seeker with the guidance, navigation and control (GNC) systems of two (2) different unmanned air platforms (two different manufacturers and two different GNC systems).

-The two platforms should represent, in their flight characteristics, two of the following three types of Precision Guided Munitions (PGMs): glide bomb, air-to-ground missile (AGM), cruise missile (CM).

-At least one of these unmanned air platforms should be an air-to-ground PGM (without its payload). The other platform may be a surrogate for another type of PGM but need not be an actual PGM platform.

-Prepare, and conduct flight tests at LMs Eastern Test Site (ETS) range using the SECTR seeker on the HiVast jet.

-Prepare and conduct flight tests at Government range.

-Demonstrate, in captive flight tests of the integrated seeker with a Precision Guided Munition (PGM) platform (HiVast and JAGM), seeker navigation, target recognition and aimpoint homing functions and performance.

-Measure, in free-flight tests, integrated seeker-guided PGM platform navigation, target recognition and aimpoint homing performance

-Demonstrate, in laboratory tests, correct function of the seeker/GNC interfaces. These tests may be (but are not required to be) closed-loop HWIL tests.

-Conduct, by closed-loop HWIL tests, an integrated seeker-PGM platform for free-flight testing.

-Conduct HWIL laboratory tests, baseline seeker function and performance meeting Phase 2 objectives, with imagery projected into the sensors and processed in real time by the seeker flight software.

-Candidate must show proven experience with system level testing, verification, and integration of complex software and hardware systems.

Basic Qualifications -Demonstrated Integration and Test experience in the full system development lifecycle.

-Demonstrated knowledge of weapon systems, ICDs, and airworthiness certification.

-Demonstrated skill generating high-quality test plans, procedures and requirements.

-Formal field testing experience on complex programs.

  • Current Secret clearance with an investigation completed within the last 5 years.

Desired skills -Prior experience leading or being a significant technical contributor for programs with aggressive schedules in a dynamic customer environment.

-Prior experience presenting at Senior Management and Customer technical/readiness reviews (Mission Success, TRR, FRR).

-Prior experience leading or participating in the Failure Review Board process.

-Demonstrated prior experience on PGM or directly related programs.
