Lockheed Martin Security Assistant Sr Specialist in Orlando, Florida

This Lockheed Martin (LM) position will be a part of the Enterprise Operations (EO) Security Operations organization reporting to the LM Security Employee Suitability Supervisor.

EO Security provides security services in support of programs, business pursuits, and general operations, both domestic and international. This includes Crisis Management, DoD Security (Classified Programs/Materials), Investigations, Technical Security, Physical Security (Badging, Cameras, Guards), Security Educations, Contractor Screening and Visitor Management.

Position will interface with internal and external customers of all levels of Lockheed Martin and the Government. The selected candidate must exercise judgment, decision making and be able to work with minimal supervisory oversight. The role will perform duties supporting LMSecurity Employee Suitability Program.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

-Conducting clearance pre-screen activities for external candidates applying for LM positions with a clearance requirement prior to start.

-Assisting LM recruiters by ensuring candidates are suitable to work for the corporation.

Other duties will be assigned as needed to support the organization. The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form is expected in order to deliver successful results.


Basic Qualifications - Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects - Active or interim secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance - Experience with Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) - Experience with Special Access Program Nomination Process

Desired skills - Familiar with LM Security processes and procedures - Active Top Secret level clearance - Bachelor's degree in a related discipline - Demonstrated experience and attention to detail skills - Effective analytical skills - Effective written and verbal communications - Effective interpersonal skills - Self-driven and results-oriented work ethic - Ability to articulate and present intelligent, decisive, risk-managed security recommendations - Ability to work on a team and effectively provide and/or take direction - Previous industrial security experience
