Lockheed Martin Senior Mechanical Engineer / Liason Engineer / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida
This individual will be responsible for: Setting up and maintaining PLM database for multiple hardware configurations. Developing Generation Breakdowns for multiple hardware variants Developing DPLs to support long lead procurement activities. Supporting drawing release process for vault, development and full release. Supporting CDM and Engineering team for Engineering Screening Board and Change Board. Supporting Quality disposition of MRB tags. Setting up of PLM workflows and training of on-program engineers. Providing first level checking of drawings for content and format. Coordinating with other functional disciplines as reqd (cost estimating, quality, prod ops, etc.). This position is in Troy, Alabama. Travel may be required on an as needed basis.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree, ideally in an engineering focused field. Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance Experience with all aspects of mechanical design, including layout and design documentation. Five to ten years’ of experience creating system level CAD models and using them to create drawings. Proficiency in CATIA is required. Good knowledge of all aspects of Mechanical engineering is essential.
Desired skills BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent related education and experience. Experience in machined metals design as well as metal castings and forgings are preferred. Knowledge of GD&T is preferred. Previous LMC experience is a plus, and proficiency in PRO-E and SMARTEAM is also a plus.
