The JLCCTC Engineer will work in a training environment with cutting edge solutions. Work will include development of robust simulation systems. This role requires a mix of software development and integration proficiency. The engineer will contribute to the development of software requirements based on project scope, technical specifications, and desired operational capabilities. The engineer will design, develop, and test software modules on a day-to-day basis. In addition to software engineering skills this position will require the ability to comprehend documentation and convert to simulation designs. The engineer may provide sustainment support for fielded training systems. The engineer will fix trouble tickets as needed. Troubleshooting existing baselines will be necessary to ensure product quality. The engineer will collaborate with other teammates and other engineering disciplines to include hardware engineers, systems engineers, configuration management, and program management.
Basic Qualifications Basic qualifications for this position will include a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or related technical field or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience writing software code.
- Web service development, preferably using Apache Servicemix is required
- C/C++ and Java computer applications development proficiency is required
- Working on a Linux platform is required
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment is required
- Strong verbal & written communication skills are required
- Strong collaboration skills are required
Must have a minimum of an interim Secret security clearance to be considered for this role
Desired skills - HLA and constructive simulation experience desired
