The New Zealand Consolidated Logistics Project Systems Engineering Lead will lead planning, development, and testing efforts for the logistics management system for the New Zealand Defence Force. The candidate should be familiar with basic EVMS concepts as well as have exposure to scheduling and Control Account Management (CAM).
• Communication of the Technical Vision to the team • Communication of the System Architecture to the team • Facilitate communication of Technical Knowledge among Scrum Team Members • Maintain Technical Integrity of the Product against the Technical Vision • Maintain Technical Integrity of the Product by: Identifying opportunities for improvement, Validate, refine, and prioritize Agile Tasks with Scrum Team, Advocate Technical Quality by adhering to RMS Agile SE, SW, and IT processes, • Monitor the Performance of the Product • Monitor the development by the team for conformance to Technical Vision and Quality • Facilitate Design Feedback and Peer Reviews • Serve as the Technical Liaison and Team Advocate to External Stakeholders
Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 14years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Demonstrated success in engineering leadership role • Significant experience in systems engineering practices and process • Strong understanding full Systems Engineering lifecycle • Experience supporting design, development, and test of iOS mobile application solutions • Experience with the design, development, test, and/or sustainment of Cloud systems • Experience with engineering estimation • Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment with dynamic priorities and varying work tasks • Experience working with customers and subcontractors • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with ability to brief/demo Executive Leadership • Strong Organizational skills • Analytical skills
-Must be willing to travel internationally approximately 15% of the year
-Must have the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
Desired skills Proven experience with being a part of an integrated team tasked with defining the operational, physical, functional, and technical architecture necessary to develop and describe the vision and desired capabilities for training and/or logistics systems
Logistics Domain experience
ConOps development, Architecture/DODAF (OV-1, SV1, SV-4, etc)
Systems requirements analysis, derivation
Use case/workflows analysis/ development
Logistics IT experience (JAMES/ALIS preferred)
Tools: Enterprise architect, DOORS, JIRA
Logistics applications, USAF and/or USN and/or USMC Logistics Domain experience
Software Intensive system integration
BOE development/ Cost estimation
Capture and program Systems engineering
System design experience
ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, IFS)
ALIS/JAMES experience preferred
