As a member of a high-performing, multi-site team, the candidate will perform research and analysis of threat weapon systems to quantify the impact of advanced systems and technology on concept of operations, air vehicle design, payloads, and tactics. The research and analysis will support operational and system requirements derivation, vehicle survivability assessment, and evaluation of military utility. Responsibilities will include researching military systems performance and operations, modeling and assessment of military operations, performing data analytics, and developing effective presentations that succinctly communicate results and findings.

The selected candidate will also support the operations of the team by filling a critical role of project planning and management. Tasks will include monitoring budgets, schedules, and manpower requirements; as well as coordinating & tracking resource requirements including computer, software, and facilities. The position will require regular coordination with leadership and project leads across LM Aero sites; as well as coordination with other functional organizations including Security, Information Technology, Facilities, Business Management, and the New Business Funds team.

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications • Bachelors or above degree from an accredited college • Experience with databases • Must have a Secret clearance to start and the ability to obtain a Top Secret SAP/SAR clearance

Desired skills • Demonstrated analytical & organizational skills and critical thinking to solve complex problems • Good written and verbal communication skills; with presentation/briefing experience • Experience in financial analysis, project planning, and tracking of performance metrics; including but not limited to schedule & cost (critical path, resource loading, financial reporting, and milestone/deliverable tracking) • Experience with database queries, data extraction and report generation • Project management experience a plus • Prior experience supporting military operations analysis or intelligence research • Knowledge of surface and airborne military systems, operations, and Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS) • Familiarity with DoD security regarding computers, documents, and facilities • Experience with Excel/VBA; with scripting or programming experience desired (MATLAB or Perl/Python or C++/Java) - Active Top Secret Clearance
