Lockheed Martin Program Management-Subcontract Manager / Ogden, UT in Salt Lake City, Utah
Provide support to the JASSM/LRASM programs with full time on-site presence to key program suppliers in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. The focus and main office location will be in Ogden, Utah at a key supplier that delivers the engine for the programs. A majority of time, around 75% will be spent at the engine supplier, with the remaining time dedicated to address key issues at the remaining suppliers.
Will provide direct support to the Supplier Integrated Product Team (IPT) SCM with a focus on improving supplier performance through driving cultural change at subcontractors with emphasis on long range strategic planning to include risk and opportunity management, engagement with the subcontractors day to day business rhythm on site, be the established customer presence, conduct studies for improvement, capacity analysis and process flow, affordability focused and training for subcontractors on identified shortfalls.
The key focus and measurement for success will include supplier cost reduction through reduction in rework, scrap, defects and increase in production efficiency; cost avoidance through reduction of unplanned work (QDs, SCARs, stock purges, FRBs/FIBs), prevention of freeze orders and reduction of increased management support. This position will be on a year to year basis; determination of a follow on year will be based on results related to the key focus areas and effectiveness of process improvements.
Travel will be required up to once a month back to the JASSM Program Office in Orlando, FL. Travel may also be required to support urgent needs as required for key program suppliers outside the Salt Lake City, UT area.
Basic Qualifications - Experience managing complex major subcontracts. - Experience working on-site at a supplier - Work with all levels of management, including suppliers - Experience with risk & opportunity management - Experience with Program Management and/or Production Operations - Experience with production process flow, line of balance development, capacity planning and process improvements - Understanding of Integrated Master Schedules and critical path - Strong demonstrated negotiation skills - Demonstrate problem solving skills - Business acumen and ability to make business based decisions - Self-motivated, demonstrated sense of urgency, ownership of tasks and accountable - Work independently and in a team environment, demonstrated ability to lead a team - Detail and Teamwork oriented with demonstrated organizational skills; - Strong interpersonal skills - Working knowledge of standard contract types - Demonstrated communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) Able to travel - Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and specialized application software associated with the Procurement function (such as P2P) - Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance
Desired skills - Thorough knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures such as LMAP and MAPS, with associated knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements - Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional IPTs and/or Supplier Management Teams - Leadership skills displaying attributes of Full Spectrum Leadership experience with LM P2P - Black Belt Certified
