Lockheed Martin Facilities Engineer in Santa Cruz, California
"Ensure site infrastructure and production assets are maintained for maximum uptime, operational safety, code compliance and product specification. Ensure assets are maintained to functional specification. Apply engineering principles to analyze facility infrastructure failures to determine root cause and implement corrective measures through preventive maintenance and inspection plan implementation. Oversee system service work with customer, crafts, and contract personnel to reach resolution. Plan work activities around production schedules while assessing risk to business operations and employee safety. Create and manage contractor service agreements for facility support services, review vendor service performance to contract specifications. Support Procurement processes for facility materials and parts, inspect newly commissioned facility projects and facility modifications for maintainability and compliance to design standards. Position requires participation in facilities weekend coverage work rotation. Foster effective, professional relationships between Facilities Operations & Services and on site customers and other major organizations within Space Systems Company

The work location is at the Lockheed Martin Santa Cruz facility 16020 Empire Grade, Santa Cruz, CA 95060
Basic Qualifications Possess a technical trade background or working experience including hand-on experience with a wide variety of industrial infrastructure systems.
Ability to write clear, concise, detailed descriptive reports of facility conditions Must have proficiency with Microsoft Windows products including: Power Point, Excel, and Microsoft Word. Experience with the development and writing of service contracts for facility services. Experience managing vendor service agreements Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain facility infrastructure, including HVAC mechanical, plumbing/piping and electrical distribution systems. Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding. Navigate over and around pipes, supports, ducts and other equipment. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision/guidance.
Desired skills Knowledge of building and construction codes Experience with the principles and application of RCM Application of predictive maintenance tools Familiarity with CMMS Previous experience using Maximo or equivalent Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Knowledge of Construction/Design standards as related to reliability/maintainability requirements Water treatment and building automation systems knowledge Experience working with represented employees"
