Lockheed Martin Controllers Tax Staff in Shelton, Connecticut

This position operates as a Multi-Functional Finance Analyst Stf in Shelton, CT and supports tax reporting to the Corporate Tax Department for numerous RMS Sikorsky entities. Position will work with Sikorsky groups on a variety of periodic reports that are used for income tax return preparations, estimated income tax payments, tax provision accruals, and long range plan using OneSource, Excel and Corptax systems. Position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

This position will be eligible to participate in Sikorsky’s Variable Compensation Plan, which provides for a discretionary annual incentive award.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following : -Monthly closing processes -US Tax Reporting for foreign branches -Financial & Tax reporting support -Research & Development tax credit reporting and analysis -Reporting temporary differences including revenue recognition, long term completed contract accounting, financial reserves -Tax reporting for long range plan -Support LM Tax with tax audit inquiries

The position is expected to successfully manage multiple, simultaneous assignments, deadlines, priorities and tasks. Responsibilities consistently require the utilization of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) / tax, effective analysis techniques, communication, and a level of independent organization and prioritization of responsibilities is expected. This position supports other financial services duties as assigned.

WORK LOCATION FOR THIS POSITION IS AT A U.S. BASED LOCKHEED MARTIN FACILITY IN SHELTON, CONNECTICUT BUT FLEXIBLE

Basic Qualifications Accounting or Finance Degree with 8+ years experience working in Finance with experience in income tax laws and procedures.

Desired skills -Proficient with all applications of the Microsoft Office suite -Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with peers, customers, and the ability to interact with high level personnel in the organization such as Senior Managers and Directors.. -Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail -Ability to work independently and meet firm deadlines
