Lockheed Martin Design Engineer Asc in Shelton, Connecticut

Design engineers transmission system design, including but not limited to rotor hub assemblies and pitch controls, gearbox housings, gears, bearings, drive shafts, couplings, clutches and rotor brakes. Projects for DC design engineers include new product development, and manufacturing and field technical support for current and mature production aircraft. - Identify design solutions to customer or manufacturing issues. - Perform Preliminary and Detail Designs using CATIA including Parts List and stackups - Formulate project plans and schedules using BOE’s. - Execute projects MS Project, basic EVMS knowledge - Formulate/support AOG/Field Technical Request to customer expectations. - Prepare Engineering Instructions for production and field related issues Minimum: BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering. MS in mechanical or aerospace engineering is preferred but not required. Previous design experience preferred. - Catia V5, Cadra, & Solumina - Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5M and GD&T principles - Basic understanding of structural analysis

Basic Qualifications Minimum: BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering.

Desired skills MS in mechanical or aerospace engineering is preferred but not required. Previous design experience preferred.
