Lockheed Martin Repair Developement Engineer in Shelton, Connecticut

Create quick repairs for used transmission and rotorhead parts. -Work with other engineering disciplines (materials, structures, core design) to develop more complex repairs. -Assist and make recommendations in engineering investigations, product test failures, and outside supplier problems. -Assist hourly personnel as needed throughout the evaluation, inspection, rework, and buildup stages. -Familiarity with H-60/CH-53E dynamic systems and ability to identify critical areas that may be affected adversely by repair. - ANSYS/ANSYS 14.5 Workbench experience helpful.

Basic Qualifications The candidate should have a strong background in structural analysis using static and fatigue Engineering methodology. A knowledge of Ansys and Catia/Cadra is desired. A familiarization of basic materials (ie steel, aluminum, titanium, and magnesium) and the associated processing specifications governing bonding, and surface treatments is required. Development of repair instructions for dynamic components.
