Lockheed Martin Business Manager, Blades in Stratford, Connecticut
The Blade Product Center Business Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of the Product Center’s business, analytics, strategy, and transformation efforts.The successful candidate will be able to work with various functional organizations across the company to ensure successful planning of the Product Center’s work, including but not limited to, demand planning and material management, industrial engineering, Program Operations, DSS program leadership, and CSS program leadership. In this role, the candidate will regularly engage with development, production, and after-market programs and be the key Product Center interface to all bid and proposal activity.The Business Manager is also responsible for leading the business, analytics, strategy and transformation projects and initiatives within the Blade Product Center. The tactical responsibilities include, establishing, planning and monitoring the execution of Blade Manufacturing, as well as, monitoring and controlling deliverables to customer organizations. The Business Manager will have primary responsibility, with the support of the Blade Chief Engineer, to manage part obsolescence and change management across all Sikorsky platforms on behalf of the Blade Product Center. The Business Manager will work directly with the Blade Operations Manager to ensure continuous improvement in quality and performance execution. The strategic responsibilities include, leading Blade continuous improvement journey to achieve Operational Excellence, inclusive of all transformation initiatives, work transition efforts, as well as, leading the Product Cost Council and Inventory Council reduction initiatives.This position reports directly to the General Manager of the Blade Product Center.
Basic Qualifications Seeking highly motivated, flexible individual with proven communication and organizational skills. Export compliance familiarization and experience in a Planning & Control functions, preferred. Working knowledge of Operations /Finance / Program / Project Management (minimum 5 years).
Desired skills Knowledge of SAP helpful. Prior Management experience preferred.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products including but not limited to, Visio, Access, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
