Lockheed Martin Deputy Program Manager- BLACK HAWK in Stratford, Connecticut
Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, is looking for a high performance, goal oriented professional who will be responsible for supporting the management of the UH/HH60M Multi-Year IX contract. As the BLACK HAWK Deputy Program Manager, the selected candidate will work with the Program Management Team to ensure business objectives, contract requirements, financial targets, quality specifications, scheduled delivery dates, and customer requirements are achieved. In addition, the candidate will interact directly Sikorsky Senior Management, suppliers, engineering, contracts, and operations to provide oversight and support of contract requirements and ensure deliverables are met. Candidate must have excellent analytical, project management, interpersonal, leadership, and verbal and written communication skills. Must be a team player, possess multi-tasking abilities, have a client focus, and work effectively in a time sensitive environment.
Responsibilities include: • Lead the Program Management Team in day-to-day execution of the Multi-Year IX contract • Manage contractual efforts using earned value processes to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget • Support production operations to ensure on time delivery and quality of the product • Support delivery and quality of Government Furnished Material • Support production incorporation of Sikorsky and/or Government generated Class I ECPs into the baseline configuration of the aircraft • Directly interface with the International Program Team to assist with FMS sales opportunities and schedule green aircraft build • Participate in review and negotiation of contract modifications • Ensure issues that occur with production and / or fielded aircraft are resolved to the full satisfaction of the customer • Lead or support process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce cost. • Assessing delivery risk related to Supplier, Engineering, Quality, and Performance Issues and developing mitigation plans to recover to schedule • Ad-hoc analysis at the request of program management to support key business decisions • Development of executive level presentations
Basic Qualifications BS Degree with 6+ years of experience, MS Degree with 4+ years of experience.
Desired skills Experience / Qualifications: • Self-starter with solid leadership ability and able to work with limited supervision while coordinating with operations, engineering, quality, programs • Proficient with Microsoft office tools, including Microsoft access and project • Ability to adapt to changing environments while meeting customer requirements • A team player that can work with divers disciplines in a multi-functional teams, with all levels of the organization from hourly labor to executives • Aerospace & Defense Industry experience (preferred) • Knowledge of Sikorsky systems, engineering drawings, the Strategic Supplier Quality System (SSQS), and Sikorsky Aircraft manufacturing requirements is a plus
