Lockheed Martin Program Operations Manager - CMHP in Stratford, Connecticut
A high energy, proactive, independent and motivated candidate is needed to represent Operations on the CMHP Helicopter program platform team. The successful candidate will represent both Operations and Programs interests, and be responsible for leading and coordinating all Operations related elements. This will include interfacing with all Sikorsky Product / Assembly Centers to ensure proper assignment of staffing and leadership, development and deployment of viable production/operations plans, providing strong leadership as an Operations representative on all Change Board activity, working with supply chain to reduce risk and drive execution, and work closely with Finance, Quality, DAP, Supply Management, Material Logistics to properly assess, allocate resources and achieve program milestones. The leader will develop and/or deploy a standard set of Operations metrics, processes and tools to adequately track progress and performance. The candidate will attend daily aircraft status meetings and, in that capacity, act as the Operations POC to the Programs Team. The role will also include responsibility for Operations representation for contractual modifications and proposals. The team member will work create and implement the manufacturing plan and strategy to optimize aircraft build. The candidate needs to possess considerable knowledge of program standup and execution, estimating and contracting processes, capacity and long term planning constraints, the work transition and gated business processes, and ITC processes and procedures. Excellent understanding of aircraft assembly, fit-out, installation and check-out. In addition an excellent working knowledge of Earned Value Management and reporting. The position will also require occasional travel to other Sikorsky Facilities and occasionally suppliers and customer briefings.
Basic Qualifications The ideal candidate will demonstrate many of the following qualifications: 8+ years’ experience in a business and manufacturing environment Worked in 2 or more functions: Engineering, Operations, Finance, Programs, Quality, or Supply Chain Experience in successfully leading a diverse matrix team Manufacturing knowledge and experience desired Ready for a highly visible execution based assignment Demonstrated results on complex leadership assignments Strong and effective leadership and interpersonal skills required Strong and effective oral communication and presentation skills required Conveys priorities with the right sense of urgency and importance. Empowers others to achieve desired results and holds them accountable. Conducts timely follow-up and keeps others informed on a need to know basis. Key Competencies required are adaptability, analytical thinking, leadership, and customer focus.
