Lockheed Martin Staff for CE office in Stratford, Connecticut

Responsibilities of Position - The Staff Engineer provides technical support to the Chief Engineer for Global Military Systems and Service and his staff. This role will work closely with the S-70i Chief Engineer to establish strategies towards addressing time critical requests to meet our internal and external customer needs. The Staff Engineer, with support of an assigned System Engineer, is responsible for the development of aircraft attributes (weight/balance, R&M, dynamics and performance), technical design, and process engineering efforts, including Design to Cost (DTC), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Affordability (DFA), compliance to Aviation Regulations, qualification assurance board (QAB) and the management of field technical and safety concerns. Occasional support of International Naval Hawk efforts depending on market needs.

Project Planning – As a result of interaction with the rest of the team, this person will gain valuable experience on the development of program and project requirements, statements of work, schedules, risk management plans, compliance matrices, contract deliverables, compliance program plans in support of the proposals, developing the engineering staffing needs and maintaining the engineering Resource Planning System (RPS).

Basic Qualifications Basic Qualifications • Technical Bachelor Science Degree with at least 5 years of experience required. • Good communication and presentation skills are required • Knowledge of engineering disciplines and process. • Appreciation for System Engineering with Risk analysis.

Desired Skills • Engineering degree preferred. • Seeking a highly motivated, flexible individual with proven technical ability and business judgment.

Travel Requirements • Occasional travel to various international locations to interact with potential customer as part of the process of shaping requirements.
