Lockheed Martin Database Engineer in Sunnyvale, California

Work collaboratively with Special Programs teams and customers to provide software and database solutions to stakeholders. Engage in software and database development to meet the program milestones in order to support stakeholder events. Interface with customers internal and external in decision making forums. Work with multi-disciplinary teams in order to develop the Hardware-to-Software interface necessary to operate complex systems.
Basic Qualifications • Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with Computer Science and Computer Engineering studies or equivalent experience. • Demonstrated 2 years of professional experience with design (including critical methods), requirements analysis, decomposition, allocation and verification • Demonstrated 2 years of professional experience developing database software tools for complex systems • Demonstrated 2 years of professional experience using a Linux operating system and proficiency of scripting languages (Python, Perl, and/or Shell) in a Linux OSHave an understanding of signal or sensor processing algorithms and techniques and provide examples that the candidate has applied these algorithms and techniques in a professional capacity with 2 years of experience • Knowledge of software engineering principles, tools and practices • Familiarity with PERL, PLSQL, XML, Apex 5, MS Access, Visual Basic, UNIX • Current TS/SCI clearance
Desired skills • Configuration management – GIT, GITLab, or equivalent and bug tracking systems • Extensive experience with PERL, PLSQL, Apex 5, MS Access, Visual Basic, UNIX • Demonstrate experience developing databases and datasets • High energy, strong work ethic, and able to perform within condensed timeframes with minimal guidance; self-motivated • Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail • Experience with software verification testing and automation of test code • Extensive experience with database development and implementation • Experience with Hardware-Software Integration • Organized self-starter, with a proven ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team-oriented environment - (Let’s move this to the Desired Skills area).
