Lockheed Martin Hardware Engineer Senior in Sunnyvale, California
Parts Engineering assignment to evaluate high reliability EEE (electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical) parts for use in flight hardware in support of THAAD Program within the Strategic Missile Defense line of business.
Participates in the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of electronic, electrical, electromechanical (EEE) and mechanical devices/parts. Perform technical evaluation of manufacturing and Parts issues/concerns. Point of Contact (POC) with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement in resolving part issues. Approval of EEE parts to meet Program requirements, part procurement drawing review and approval, qualification and acceptance test data review and manufacturer's baselines review in support of the design and development of EEE parts in accordance with the Program EEE Parts Plans. Training, use, and advocacy of central tools such as the Parts, Materials and Processes Database (PMPDB) and Preferred PMP Search Tool (PPST)
Basic Qualifications Experience in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical components and circuits. Understanding of semiconductor physics and/or operation of devices such as hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes and capacitors. Experience with Military Standards for various part types including screening, Qualification, Receiving Inspection, and DPA requirements. Experience with high reliability technical standards
Demonstrated ability to work with subcontractors, and internal manufacturing and engineering organizations. Collaborate as part of a geographically diverse team to resolve technical issues. Good writing, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organization, interpersonal/team and communication skills.
Desired skills Knowledge of electronic component and unit manufacturing processes. Experience with Plastic Encapsulated Microcircuits (PEM) devices, and C-mode Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (CSAM) Analysis strongly desired. Demonstrated experience creating Source Control Drawings (SCDs). Demonstrated ability to resolve and close on various parts engineering issues; failure analysis, risk evaluations, compliance issues, etc. Experience in testing and failure analysis of electrical components.
Knowledge of THAAD PMP requirements and TPO customer preferred. Experience with MRB, FRB, and VRIC processes. Technical leadership experience. Proficient with SAP, EPDM and/or PMP Database
