Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.
Space Flight Hardware Production testing of component, sub - system, and system level hardware. Works under general direction with a understanding of dynamic principles and a general knowledge of related disciplines. Contributes to the preparation and execution of vibration tests, including configuration setup, to meet instrumentation and data acquisition systems test requirements. Experience using vibration control software and Matlab products preferred. In addition, assignments will include acoustic and modal testing. This requires the frequent use and application of dynamic testing technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.* Independently provides technical solutions that are imaginative, thorough, and practicable to a wide range of difficult problems during investigation and resolution of test and facility anomalies. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.* Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to coordinate facility readiness with primarily internal company contacts in support organizations, including Maintenance and Calibration, as well as serving as organization spokesperson on programs for outside customers.* Oversees the direction given to technicians in conducting modal, acoustic and vibration tests, utilizing expertise in data acquisition equipment.* Applies advanced principles to the evaluation of test data, reviews and approves test procedures and flash reports, consults on the generation of test plans, etc. in effort to meet milestones associated with specific projects.* Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
