Lockheed Martin O&R Inspector B in Trumbull, Connecticut

Consistently and accurately inspect the Operation Department’s work on components undergoing repair or overhaul for completeness and compliance to technical data.Work under the supervision of a Quality Leadperson and Inspector A personnel.Must be willing & able to take direction from Leadsperson in their functional job area. Perform the following inspection tasks on components listed on training Competency Sheet:Evaluation InspectionFinal InspectionPerform the following inspection tasks as assigned on all components worked in the facility:Receiving InspectionsPreliminary InspectionsIn-Process InspectionsUse precision measuring instruments and gages such as feeler gages, dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, etc.Evaluate the repair work performed within our facility or sent to outside sources for completeness and compliance to technical data. Follow procedures found in component maintenance manuals, service bulletins, ORI’s, OREI’s, drawings, check sheets, etc.Review and interpret related paperwork to ensure proper identification of parts, operational sequence and recorded information on appropriate documentation.Interpret documentation received with incoming cores to determine adequate traceability and history.Research compliance requirements of components in work using AD’s, ASB’s, and other technical data.Must know how to locate and use technical data such as operation sheets, manuals, ASB’s, ORI’s, OREI’s and blueprints.Must be competent in the use of torque wrenches and have a complete understanding of SAC torque specification SS9300.Filing and archiving of recordsAdhere to all EH&S requirements, FAA & EASA regulations, company rules, policies, procedures and corporate initiatives. Tag and report to TPM Manager any equipment that is unsafe or requires maintenance.Segregate hazardous waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.Work occasional overtime as required to support business requirements.

Basic Qualifications Minimum of 3 years in an aviation mechanic’s role. Prior Quality Inspector experience desirable.
