Lockheed Martin Human Resources Administrative Specialist in Tucson, Arizona

This position performs a variety of HR administrative tasks related to supporting various HR projects and initiatives and is the first point of contact for new hires and existing employees. As such this position is expected to; communicate regularly with program employees and managers to relay information; answer questions or refer requests to appropriate resources, as necessary; assist site leadership with drafting communications to employee population and gathering data from various sources to create reports and briefings. This position will be located at the Tucson AZ office and will support employees at domestic and international locations.

Assists with new hire orientation, ensures that necessary paperwork is completed and submitted by employee in a timely manner. Performs out-processing for employees separating from the company.

Facilitates and coordinates pre-deployment process for existing and new hire employees. Assist Program Integration team with passport and visa processing as required. Acts as stateside POC for OCONUS employees on Home leave or R&R in the US. Maintains and disseminates employee R&R and transportation information; provides coordination and record keeping support.

Administers a variety of activities designed to support employee relations and morale. Assist Operations Team with administrative and clerical tasks such as preparation of manning charts, briefings, etc. Ensures that all required state and federal posters and legal notices are posted as required. Assist in planning company meetings and events. Explains policies and works with site management team to effectively resolve human resources issues. May be asked by HRBP overseeing the site to gather information regarding employee relations issues.

Position requires frequent contact with personnel inside and outside the company requiring reasonable tact, discretion, self-expression, and a working knowledge of policies, and procedures

Performs other duties and special projects as assigned or required to fulfill function of this position. Normal daily office hours for the position are Monday thru Friday 7:00 am – 3:30pm (schedule may be adjusted to support operational needs) with ability to work overtime to support mission requirements. Occasional travel (less than 10%) to other locations may be required to support mission requirements. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance may be required.

Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of directly related experience.

High level of computer literacy/proficiency with Microsoft office package.

General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
