This position will provide Help Desk support to the Combat Direction systems Activity (CDSA) located on the Dam Neck Annex of Naval Air Station Oceana. Specific duties and desired skill sets will include: - Provide assistance via phone, email, and ticket request queues to provide support for Classified and Unclassified RDT&E networks. - Image and patch new and existing laptops and desktops - Creating and maintain SOIs/SOPs - Create and run CAT5e/CAT6 to new and existing locations. - Assist network admins and System admins with new deployments, reconfigurations, and installations as required. - Typical desktop application installation, configuration and support for RDT&E users. - Have excellent verbal and written communications skills. - Have excellent documentation skills and be able to follow processes and procedures. - Have working knowledge of Windows Active Directory and be able to create and manage user accounts, computer accounts, OU’s and security group assignment. - Have working knowledge of common DoD software such as Active Client and Axway (Tumbleweed) validator. - Working knowledge of Microsoft BitLocker preferred. - Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Office, and Visio preferred

Basic Qualifications Candidate must have desktop installation, configuration and support experience. Candidate must have the ability to: Image and patch new and existing laptops and desktops. Create and maintain standard instructions and operation procedures. Create, test and install CAT5e/CAT6 to new and existing locations. Assist network admins and System admins with new deployments, reconfigurations, and installations as required. Typical desktop application installation, configuration and support for RDT&E users. Candidate must also: Have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Have excellent documentation skills and be able to follow processes and procedures. Have working knowledge of Windows Active Directory and be able to create and manage user accounts, computer accounts, OU’s and security group assignment. Have working knowledge of common DoD software (For example - Active Client and Axway [Tumbleweed] validator). Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Visio. Have current Level I qualifications (current Security+, Network +, or A+ certification), with the ability to obtain IAT Level ll qualification within 6 months of checking on-board. This position requires at minimum an Active Secret clearance to be considered.

Desired skills Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint. • Working knowledge of Microsoft BitLocker. • Experience implementing and troubleshooting DISA STIG’s - Working knowledge of RedHat Enterprise LINUX (RHEL)
