Lockheed Martin Sr. Business Analyst in Woodland, Washington

A strong project manager with a background in developing polished presentations and is confident in building business cases that utilize supporting data. Some background in data analysis and/or business intelligence will be needed in order to develop presentation material.

Organizes, plans and directs all purchasing/material activities including general purchasing, subcontract management, resources, financial controls and material management. Develops and controls policies, procedures, programs, systems and assure timely and economical procurement of all material, parts, assemblies, equipment and services as well as the timely planning, control and distribution of all materials, property and customer assets required to manufacture. Supports programs, projects, products, services and off-site operations in compliance with government regulations and contractual commitments.

The candidate will work within cross-functional teams to resolve complex sourcing problems while implementing strategies that align to both operational requirements and internal objectives.

Coordinates all activities related to procurement of a commodity beginning with intent to purchase through delivery Analyzes business processes and implements best in class supply chain procurement strategies by developing processes and creating standard work for repeat ability

Supports strategic supply chain projects in support of enterprise goals

Applies continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems to increase efficiency and customer service and to reduce costs

Creates and presents metrics and supports with reports to suppliers, peers, and managers Acts as a project manager on procurement projects in support of business goals

Interfaces cross functionally with Engineering, Finance, Operations and Sales in support of design changes, new product introduction, make or buy decisions and participates in the development of a commodity strategy road map, problem resolution and process improvement

Develops solutions based on a quantitative data-centric approach

Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions along with the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions

Shows an aptitude for multitasking and ability to adjust to changing priorities in a dynamic environment while maintaining excellent organization and having solid judgment

Analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is needed Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested commodity

Investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements

Advises team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used

Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs

Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations

Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company

Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records

Coordinates appropriate methods needed to distribute commodity in a cost effective manner

Basic Qualifications 4-7+ years of experience with some elements in one or more of the following disciplines: strategic sourcing / supply chain / procurement / project management / business intelligence / data analysis

Intermediate to Expert Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Skills

Previous manufacturing experience a plus, aerospace preferred

Must be a US Person as defined by US Department of State.

Ability to pass a drug and background screening process.
