Lockheed Martin Staff System Administrator - 2 Yrs in Australia in Bethesda, Maryland

NOTE: 2 Year ITDY in Australia NOTE: Strong experience in the NSG Environment are a must and working at an international site. Note: Position is a leadership role. Candidate will be ‘deputy’ to the site lead

Duties include working in a team environment providing technical services on Linux/Unix and Windows servers and operating systems software and their associated storage. Responsible for O&S tasks in a critical mission environment. Responsibilities include the successful integration of the hardware and applications software across the enterprise. Candidate will be involved in all phases of the installation, integration and maintenance of software and hardware component changes to large, complex information systems. Candidate will be responsible for distribution of application software to Windows workstations and will assist users with issues with all workstation installed software. The candidate will occasionally be required to travel to nearby sites in support of similar operations.

Duties include but are not limited to: Act as ‘deputy to the site lead and as the site lead when the site lead is not available or not at the site. Lead site staff of up to 14 heads Interface with customer representatives • Maintain site’s systems • Monitor system usage and take corrective actions. • Applies operating system updates and configuration changes. • Assists users with system problems • Manages administrator and service accounts • Perform system tuning for improved performance • Maintains system documentation • Coordinate troubleshooting efforts with users, subsystem provider, local national customer organization • Installs system wide software • Manages/allocates mass storage space • Coordinates vendor visits • Ensures backups are run properly and restore capability is fully functional • Coordinates with internal and external organization to ensure proper status reporting and system outage planning • Schedules and conducts preventive maintenance. • Conducts Root Cause Analysis as required • Manages system tools and equipment • Provides for system security • Develops, maintains, and reports meaningful metrics • Maintains user accounts • Troubleshoots system anomalies • Performs system tuning • Occasional after hours support of system troubleshooting and upgrades • Assists users with workstation applications • Required to carry a cell phone or pager on weekends and after hours

Basic Qualifications •Must have Windows System Administration experience •Must have active Top Secret clearance with an within the last 5 years.

Desired skills •Strong Australia site experience HIGHLY PREFERRED.
