As a Systems Engineer you will be an integral part of our team in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customer. You will have ownership for systems at every aspect of the systems life cycle. Applying engineering knowledge, tools, and principals to perform detailed verification planning and in-depth analysis of complex engineering and model data to assess missile system compatibility with surrounding systems and environments.
Provide technical and project engineering expertise for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Common Missile Compartment (CMC) program by performing technical planning, system integration, requirements research and verification and validation of D5 Missile System requirements. All analysis is performed at the Missile System/Subsystem level requirements and ensures the compatibility of the existing D5 (D5LE) Missile System with the Ohio Replacement and UK Successor class of SSBN platforms.
In addition, this position will perform as the Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead for the Critical Verification Review (CVR) milestone. The candidate will coordinate and manage the timely receipt of Government Furnished Information (GFI), test procedures, drawings, flight science models, technical analyses and other engineering materials to ensure successful milestone reviews.
Must be a US Citizen, this position will require a government security clearance
Basic Qualifications •Minimum Bachelor's degree in physics, engineering, math or a related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent education and experience •Experience with requirements definition, verification and validation, research, and management. Experience with DOORS •Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Desired skills •Experience managing major technical reviews (Systems Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), etc.) •Familiarity with the FBM Common Missile Compartment program or the D5 Missile System •Drafting experience (especially CREO or IDEAS) •Performing system level testing •System of systems integration •Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment •Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
