Lockheed Martin Software Engineering Manager in Colorado Springs, Colorado

This exciting position will be the S2E2 Software Manager in Colorado Springs, CO. This manager will manage 15-19 SW engineers. Includes the planning, implementation, testing, documentation, and maintenance of the S2E2 Ground baseline. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the design, development, documentation, and Unit testing of software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Oversees the establishment of functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software and testing objectives. Ensures software and test standards are met. Required to work collaboratively with the S2E2 Systems Engineering, Integration and Verification, Hardware Managers to execute an integrated S2E2 schedule and to work together to deliver quality products. Experience as a Control Account Management or with Earned Value Management is a plus. Experience interfacing with customers and system users is also a plus.

Basic Qualifications Candidate must be a US citizen and applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Significant experience in Software Development Significant experience in scheduling and planning of complex development programs. Experience in successfully leading teams of engineers. Experience across the entire program lifecycle (Design, Development, Test, Delivery, and Sustainment) Demonstrated consistent high performer - Must be willing and able to travel between Boulder CO, Greeley CO, and Colorado Springs CO. - Candidate should have experience leading technical teams. - Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or closely related field. Equivalent experience and education may be evaluated to determine qualifications. - Candidate must have an active Secret Security Clearance to start.
