Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Engineer Senior in Fort Worth, Texas
Structural Analyst for F-35 Structures Development Team. Successful candidate will be able to perform structural analysis on new and modified designs of airframe structure, and mechanism parts. Responsible for static strength assessment, detail part sizing of primary and secondary structure and systems. Will provide shop support for fuselage structure and subsystems. Will perform analysis to the requirements of the F-35 program. You will use your knowledge of engineering mechanics, such as Engineering Statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials.
Position is 3rd shift.
Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications - Experience in methods of Stress Analysis
-Experience with Finite Element Modeling and Analysis
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Word and MS Excel
BS or higher degree in AE, ME, EM or CE
Desired skills - Knowledge and significant practical proficiency in methods of Stress Analysis and Finite Element Modeling and Analysis; MS Office Suite proficiency. - Exposure and experience with UNIX and LINUX operating systems, Windows programming, - FORTRAN and C++ is desired. Familiarity with aircraft load paths and stability of structure is required. - Finite Element Methods and models, & crack growth analysis ; UNIX/LINUX operating system experience; FORTRAN, C++ & Windows programming experience; - Understanding of aircraft load paths and structure; experience with NASTRAN, PATRAN, ABAQUS, ADAMS, CGROW, NASGROW, CATIA-V4, and CATIA-V5;
