Lockheed Martin Labs and Technical Services Project Lead in Fort Worth, Texas
Labs and Technical Services (L&TS) lead for Aeronautics Strategic Business Development / Business Development Cockpit Demonstrator (ASBD/BDCD) projects.
This position is the Project Lead for ASBD/BDCD within the Enterprise Products LOB. Specific responsibilities include: provide project leadership and direction for the lab team to design and implement new capabilities and capability upgrades to the F-35, F-22, F-16 and T-50A cockpit demonstrator fleet; work across multi-discipline teams to provide integrated cost effective solutions to the customer; serve as the primary POC to the Business Development team for scheduling the cockpit demonstrators and lab support resources for events utilizing the cockpit demonstrators; work with the Business Development organization to develop forward looking plans to sustain and implement new capabilities into the cockpit demonstrator fleet; and integrate those plans into the LM Aero discretionary planning processes and into the lab planning and resource management processes.
Project leadership responsibilities include leading cost and schedule estimates for new projects / tasks; leading and managing the implementation of plan; running the day-to-day project tasks; meeting schedule and cost in an EVMS environment; and Control Account Manager (CAM) for New Business Funds (NBF), Facilities Capital and IT projects associated with the cockpit demonstrators. Able to generate and manage IWTAs with other Business Area (RMS and Corporate). Specific tasks include project planning, detailed scheduling, staffing and resource planning, monitoring/measuring team performance, and status reporting.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline. Project planning, management and leadership experience. Control Account Manager (CAM) and Earned Value Management training and experience. Experience communicating effectively with senior level management (VP and Director) and customers. Experience working across multiple technical disciplines to provide a full system and support solution to customers (systems engineering, software, hardware, and operations).
Desired skills Experience building partnerships across organizations (Finance, Logistics, OA) Cockpit simulator and/or lab development experience. Knowledge and experience of lab development processes and metrics. Strategic Planning experience Willingness to mentor junior-level team members.
