Lockheed Martin QA Engineer Sr in Fort Worth, Texas

This position reports to the F-35 Quality Engineering Sr. Manager, and will be part of the variation management (VM) team for F35 Q&MS. The selected candidate will drive variation management improvements across the F35 value chain from supplier quality through aircraft delivery and to follow on modernization.

The VM team is a group of technical subject matter experts that are assigned the task of enabling preventive measures and actions for the F35 program.

This candidate will be the SME for all airframe variation management activities. Job responsibilities included but are not limited to: engineering design reviews, key characteristic (KC) metric accumulation and review, KC database maintenance, KC Cpk targeting analysis, KC improvement project identification, coordination with internal and external KC producers, KC sampling related to seam validation, and CSOW and SSOW development. The candidate will represent the F35 program and coordinate directly with DCMA and JPO including at program production readiness reviews and external customer audits.

Basic Qualifications • Bachelor degree from an accredited college in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM). • 3+ years demonstrated ability to work at all levels of the organization to identify and drive systemic root cause and corrective action utilizing quantitative, qualitative analytical capabilities to communicate and influence others in a concise, data driven manner. • Root Cause Analysis experience or training. • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. Desired skills • High energy, self-starting, team player who achieves goals. • Ability to interpret complex part and assembly drawings, including GD&T. • Understanding of product measurement and validation, including measurement error and MSA. • Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE or CMQOE certification. • Demonstrated quality science expertise in the following areas: variation management, process capability, statistical analysis, statistical process control, sampling, six sigma, FAI, PPAP, PFMEA, Red X, process auditing or validation, root cause analysis and corrective action validations, and supplier quality management. • Familiarity with datum flow chains, and RSS tolerance analysis. • Familiarity with composite and metallic CNC machining operations. • Excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and presentations.
