Lockheed Martin Software Engineer Associate in Fort Worth, Texas
The selected candidate will be a software development team member within the LM Aero Labs and Technical Services (L&TS) organization which is responsible for developing state of the art, real-time, pilot-in-the-loop fighter and airlift simulations and systems integration laboratories. This includes laboratories and simulators for the F-16, F-22, F-35, C-5, C-130J, and LM-100J programs. Software will be developed for Linux, Windows, or Solaris platforms using multiple languages including C/C++, Java, Python, and/or Ada. Selected candidate may operate and maintain existing laboratory venues. Assignments may change over time as required by the organization.
This position offers the opportunity to travel within the United States and internationally.
This position may require unique program security clearances that will be initiated upon selection and acceptance in filling this position. Final approval of these security clearances is dependent upon the Department of Defense (DoD) and could take an extensive amount of time to be granted. During this waiting period, the work assignments directly related to this position will be limited. Therefore, auxiliary organization work assignments will be provided.
- Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a security clearance.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, or Electrical Engineering or technical related discipline.
Desired skills Electrical Engineering must have ability and desire to code system software 24/7.
Experience with software development on Linux and/or Windows Operating Systems. - Experience in C/C++, Java, or Ada programming languages - Experience in Object Oriented Analysis/Design
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance with investigation within last 5 years is highly desired.
Experience with: - Linux shell scripting - Python programming - Multi-threaded programming - Unified Modeling Language (UML) - Using Design Patterns - Test driven development and refactoring - OpenGL or other graphics development libraries - Integrated development environments (Eclipse, Visual Studio, etc)
