Lockheed Martin System Engineer / Human Factors Eng in Fort Worth, Texas

The ideal candidate will be working as a human interface engineer within Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.

A good understanding of the physiological effects of environmental stressors on the human piloting an air system and ability to objectively measurement and assessment the pilot’s cognitive state. The humane interface engineer will work with potential pilots to evaluate human-machine problems, improve control methodologies, and enhance performance and safety features. They will help define customer needs and work with vendors to design or adapt systems that can be effective use by pilots in a flight environment.

Periodic Travel Required

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Secret clearance with a background investigation within the last five years to start.

Basic Qualifications - Bachelor or higher degree in Physiology, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, or a related discipline - Experience in a relevant area such as Physiology, Human Factors, Cognitive Science or Neuroscience

Desired skills Knowledge of aerospace physiology and factors affecting aviator performance - Familiarity with MATLAB or similar type analysis tools - Knowledge of current state of the art in physiological and cognitive sensing, human-system integration, and human-machine interface design - Experience in experimental design, defining research objectives, and statistical analysis
