Looking to jumpstart your professional technical career? Join the Software Associate Degree Program (SWAP) within Lockheed Martin Space. Program participants will develop a comprehensive toolkit to prepare for future Lockheed Martin technical positions in a variety of areas such as software development, network, or cyber engineering.

SWAP is an intensive entry-level three-year program which builds participant’s technical and professional development skills sets through various exposure opportunities. During the program, participants will be expected to: • Continuously demonstrate motivation, technical proficiency, and effective communication skills • Maintain acceptable standards of work performance within all aspects of the program • Participate in all Cohort and Development activities under the Program • Effectively balance school schedule and full-time employment

The SWAP participant will join one of our many dynamic Lockheed Martin programs. This position will perform technical/engineering assignments. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter and have demonstrated communication skills. This position is expected to work with diverse disciplines, in a team environment to reach a common goal.

In this role, the selected candidate will participate in special training opportunities in teamwork, communication skills, cross-functional problem solving, design, code, integration, and resolution of problems.

Basic Qualifications • Currently working towards obtaining an Associate’s Degree with a major in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Assurance/Cyber Security or related discipline at one of the following colleges: Delaware County Community College, Montgomery County Community College, or Northern Virginia Community College. Ideal student accepted into the program one year prior to graduation to begin the clearance process once accepted. • Rising graduate with a Minimum 3.20 Cumulative GPA • Demonstrated effective communications, both written and verbal • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including US Citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance required for this role.

Desired skills • Interest and motivation in obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree and future leadership roles within Lockheed Martin Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: • Software Engineering - HTML. CSS, XML, SQL, TSQL, JAVA, C++, C#, AGILE/SCRUM, .NET • Systems Engineering - SOA, J2EE,.NET Architecture • Network experience - LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, IP Protocol • Information Security Domain knowledge • System architecture • Database experience • Test Engineering - Windows, Unix, Linux • Effective presentation skills • Lean Thinking/Six Sigma experience • MS Office experience • Prior customer service experience • Problem solver/solution focused • Flexibility/teamwork oriented
