Lockheed Martin Electrical and Data Systems Engineer (early career) - Littleton, CO in Littleton, Colorado

Job duties include: 1. Systems engineering lead role on the Orion Spacecraft within the Electrical and Data Integration team. 2. Applicant will translate NASA astronaut display telemetry desires into reality. These are the screens they will use to fly the vehicle. 3. Work with the test team to identify problems and coordinate solution across the multi-site development team. 4. Perform data validation. Orion is a data driven spacecraft that can perform many functions like going to the Moon or Mars. The data in our files determines the mission. The selected individual will spend time making sure the data is correct and coordinating subsystems’ efforts to review their data. 5. The systems engineer will also be cross trained in electrical channelization resource management and telemetry definition, mapping, and downlink.

Basic Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, physics or other related discipline or equivalent work experience 2. 3+ years of engineering experience 3. Demonstrated experience coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, systems, flight sciences, materials, manufacturing, test, etc.) 4. Familiarity with MS Office applications and excellent written and oral communication skills

Desired skills 1. Experience with telemetry 2. Experience in flight operations 3. Knowledge/experience with spacecraft subsystems and spacecraft operations
