Lockheed Martin Logistics Engineer in Littleton, Colorado

Space Protection Programs is looking for a Senior Logistics Engineer to support the line of business. The job will consist of: Support day-to-day program operations for manufacturing work instructions and test procedures workflow to ensure functionality of equipment/tools and facilities. Oversee/perform all duties involving property (company and program assets) to include: shipping, receiving, inspecting, maintenance, handling, disposition and designated “Ground Process Equipment Controller” (GPEC) for GMECH-SPP-M and GMECH-SPP-E. Tasked with supporting the development of maintenance plan requirements (calibration, inventory accountability, recording, scheduling and physical maintenance). Ensure assets are stored, shipped and handled properly to reduce risk of damage. Inspect overhead lifting equipment and record inspections and proof load/reproof load as required for program(s) use. Support the development of and help coordinate Special Considerations Item Document (SCID) and Packing, Handling and Storage Transportation (PHST). Work with program planning and program management outlining correct durations, sequence and requirements for logistics tasks which impact serial or parallel operations. Support the coordination all LOB program shipments in-plant and off-plant to ensure accurate and accountable handling of products. Review programs critical operations and support the coordination of the development of FFMEA associated with that operation to identify and mitigate the risk in each critical task in the operation. Support and coordinate all facets of transport: write plans, consult engineers to coordinate engineering requirements, ensure environmental parameters are met and identify support for each location (personnel, equipment, security, safety, airlift and hazardous material requirements) from departure site to receiving site. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in transportation and logistics.

Basic Qualifications Experience in logistics, transportation and property management.

Experience in Assembly and testing of space vehicle hardware.

Experience in coordinating small and large-scale operations.

Experience in documenting and coordinating company required studies and plans such as FFMEAs, PHS&T and PSMPs.

Experience in coordinating, planning and supervising the transport of high value, over-sized loads to/from contractor facilities, and commercial airfields using a variety of military aircraft.

5+ years’ logistics management experience.

Experience in supply chain management and shipping and receiving functions.

Solid understanding of government property management and scrap procedures.

Possess excellent work ethic, verbal and written communication skills, and be detailed and accurate in performing all functions.

Must have a TS/SCI with Poly clearance to start.

Desired skills Experience in working with logistic teams have experience with wide-load transports including route surveys, DOT and police escorts, permits and supervision of shipments.
