Lockheed Martin Environmental, Health & Safety Engineering Asc. in Liverpool, New York

The candidate will work with a team of environment, safety and health professionals, as well as work independently to recognize, evaluate, and control risks and hazards. Additionally, the candidate will represent the organization across multiple levels of the company and demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate organization strategy and objectives.

The position will be responsible for: •Coordinating various aspects of ESH related training, communications and procedures. •Preparing various regulatory reports such as EPCRA, TRI, 209U. •Mentoring the ESH Awareness Team and supporting employee outreach activities •Assisting with Emergency Response and Life Safety programs, including Evacuations, Confined Space/HazMat Response Team, AEDs etc. •Assisting with audits, inspections, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.

The selected applicant will serve as a back-up to existing staff to develop a broad background in environmental, health and safety requirements and controls.

Basic Qualifications •Prior ESH experience or internship •Strong interpersonal and communications skills (verbal, written and presentation) •Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and aptitude to learn specialized ESH application software •Experience leading teams or initiatives •Ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions •Self-motivated, demonstrated sense of urgency, ownership of tasks and accountable •Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. This requires US Citizenship. •Able to support other assignments as required

Desired skills •Experience supporting manufacturing, facility/maintenance and/or R&D operations •Ability to gain professional certifications, such as CIH, CSP… •Ability to prioritize multiple projects •Experience in reviewing drawings
