Lockheed Martin Systems Integration/Test Engineer Associate - Entry Level in Marietta, Georgia

As a member of the Low Speed Wind Tunnel (LSWT) Team within the Lockheed Martin Ground Test Labs located in Marietta, GA, the selected candidate will provide engineering support to our large scale low speed wind tunnel facility.

The candidate’s primary tasks will be to select, set up, maintain, calibrate, and modify wind tunnel instrumentation along with other facility testing equipment. Secondary tasks include supporting various test activities at the LSWT such as test article installation and removal, operation of the various test systems, performing regular inspections and coordinating repairs and maintenance of the facility. This is an application engineering position and requires someone willing to get away from their desk and be where the work is being performed.

As work load within the LSWT varies, the selected candidate may support other lab groups such as Structural Test, Mechanical Test, and Systems Test (for example) within the Ground Test Labs on an as needed basis where candidate’s qualifications are commensurate with the needs of the other groups.

The candidate who fills this position must be willing and able to support extended and odd shift work schedules, On Call requirements and share the department work load.

The candidate who fills this position must be willing and able to support testing at various temperature ranges since the tunnel air temperature is not conditioned.

The candidate who fills this position must be willing and able to work in hazardous laboratory environments and with hazardous chemicals/materials and follow all Personal Protective Equipment and safety requirements.

The candidate who fills this position must be willing and able to work in a laboratory environment by themselves or with other team members.

The candidate who fills this position must be able to effectively document and accurately convey technical data within test reports.

The candidate who fills this position have demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills to interface with multifunctional teams.

Candidate must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a working knowledge of both analog and digital systems. Experience with LABView or similar programming language

Desired skills • Have good communication skills (written & oral) • Knowledge of process control and automation principles • Windows based OS background • Current DoD Secret clearance updated within the last 5 years.
