Lockheed Martin Low Observable Material Test Engineer in Palmdale, California
Experience leading all processes associated in the manufacture/repair of low observable structures. Experience in application of coatings, putties, silicone and urethane systems.
Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS lab systems.
Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
Must be a US citizen. This position requires a Secret clearance updated within the last 5 years to start.
Basic Qualifications Experience manufacturing/repairing composite structures. Experience manufacturing Low Observable (LO) materials and applying to aircraft structures. Experience leading diverse (Hourly/Salary) small teams to accomplish work assignments.
Desired skills Demonstrated extensive experience in material and coatings testing requirements. (Mechanical, Environmental) Experienced with LO Material Development and Application Experienced with Composite fabrication systems on aircraft. Experienced with SFM and EWI production systems. Considered an expert in composite and material repair of aircraft parts.
