Lockheed Martin Logistics Analyst in Stratford, Connecticut

This position reports to the Manager of Global Logistics in the Supply Management Department.  The position will be responsible for activities related to transportation, logistics, the supply chain, and may include any of the following responsibilities:  providing operational solutions in the areas of transportation/logistics, network analysis and optimization, transportation/logistics strategy, and process management.  Also, supporting compliance to routings, carrier/mode selection through utilization of current Sikorsky approved transportation providers, reporting on accumulated savings, support of aftermarket transportation, bill creation, carrier management, compilation of metrics for spares shipments/revenue; optimization of transportation lanes, determining landed cost, carrier rationalization, imports/exports, and freight payment.  Also, support of other department initiatives, special projects, and day-to-day business as required.  This position will require proficient analytical skills, written communication, and customer/supplier contact.

Basic Qualifications BA/BS degree w/2+ years’ experience

Experience with Word, advanced Excel, and Power Point.  Ability to demonstrate leadership skills, teamwork, innovation, forward planning, anticipation of changing business requirements, application of logistics and supply chain methodologies. This position may have some group leadership responsibilities and will have minimal travel.  The position will require compliance with ESH policy and applicable regulatory and company ESH rules and requirements.   The incumbent is responsible for complying with all company ethics policies, principles and practices.  In executing job responsibilities, the employee shall take all steps necessary to foster open communications and to support the company’s compliance, ethics, and business practices.  The employee may be required to work additional hours when required to complete assignments and to support business plans and goals. The employee will also be required to support rotational weekend and holiday duty activity.
