Lockheed Martin Materials Planner in Stratford, Connecticut
Must be able to work in a complex development environment. Plan, prepare, issue and control production/development schedules and coordinate with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production/development requirements. Coordinates material movement between warehouse/storeroom and production areas. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, contracts administration, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders. Coordinates with manufacturing and design engineering to execute work orders in order to facilitate design changes in a development environment. Comprehensive SAP knowledge is a must, in addition to a solid working knowledge of Matrix and Solumina G6/G7.
Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Knowledge and application of Supply Chain Inventory Management and distribution methods. Related experience in inventory management of perishable tools, kitting, warehousing and material handling.
Desired skills 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
Working knowledge of SAP, MRP along with previous Aeronautical experience. *Strong communication skills *MS Project, MS Excel and MS Word
