LifePort is currently searching for a dependable, experienced and team oriented Armor Technician for our facility located in Woodland, WA.Armor Technician will operate and maintain various items of machinery, know production processes and use various types of hand and power tools in the prototyping, layout, fabricating assembly and detailing of the ballistic protection system that comprise our products in accordance with basic mechanical principals, company manufacturing theory and production drawings and documents. This employee will also be required to do any and all tasks deemed necessary by his/her supervisor for the safe and efficient operation of the company. Such tasks may include those with more specialized training such as painting, molding, metal fabricating, wood fabricating, gluing, and computer driven machine operation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:- Work from drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired.- Work from written instructions in the absence of drawings.- Work from verbal instructions in the absence of drawings, in the prototype stage.- Perform maintenance on assigned equipment as needed.- Sets up and operate metal working machines such as desk mill, power saws, table saws, routers, grinder, drop saw and drills to fabricate production parts as required.- Lay out material for wood and metal working machines such as desk mill, power saws, table saws, routers, grinder, drop saw and drills to fabricate production parts as required.- Shape component parts to conform to drawings in order to ensure proper fit, form and function.- Assemble component parts to conform to drawings in order to ensure proper fit, form and function.- Drill holes, by hand or on press, for inserts, pins and screws or other fasteners.- Requisition parts and components from inventory.- Initiate a turn back, yellow tag, red tag, or MRB as required.- Participate in MRB as required.- Fastens parts and subassemblies together either mechanically or chemically to form complete unit.- Be able to perform all assigned tasks in all production cells with no direct supervision.- Must comply/satisfy all Ethics & Compliance, and Employee Safety & Health training, policies and procedures.- Other job related duties may be assigned.
Basic Qualifications Applicants must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily as described above.
